Bio
My name is Helene Marshall, and I am a dedicated social science educator. I currently teach at Palm Beach Lakes School, where I design engaging lessons that foster literacy, critical thinking, and real-world connections. I am certified in Social Science grades 6–12 and also serve as a certified Haitian Creole interpreter, reflecting my commitment to inclusivity and support for diverse learners. Throughout my career, I have celebrated achievements such as maintaining a 90 percent student pass rate, developing curricula aligned with state standards, and creating assessments that encourage higher-order thinking.
Teacher Specialization
My teaching specialization is in Social Sciences, with a focus on United States History, World History, and African American History. I have also taught Advanced Placement courses and designed curricula that integrate literacy, critical thinking, and meaningful classroom discussion. I hold a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Fort Hays State University, and I have been in education for 10 years.
