Bio
I have 12 years of teaching experience. I have worked in multiple settings and held several roles with in my time working as an educator. I am committed to fostering the passion for learning in my students. I believe that all students are capable of learning with the right tools, support, and perseverance. I believe all students can learn and have the capacity to do so with the right tools and support. One of my tutoring goals is to teach students to properly use tools and know what questions to ask. I have a great relationship with my students because I consider their needs and provide a safe space for communication. Allowing to be themselves and meet them where they are. I am originally from Los Angeles and moved to the Bay Area 14 years ago. I speak multiple languages (Portuguese,Spanish, English). I chose to become a tutor because I believe that all students can achieve their learning goals.
Teacher Specialization
I hold a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California. I have been teaching for 12 years and taught several grade levels. I have worked as 6-8th Math and Science teacher, Elementary school Teacher, English Language Development Teacher, and most recently 7-8th ELA teacher. In the summer, I am the school principal at one of our sites.
