Bio
I have been teaching middle school for over 30 years. I enjoy teaching all academic subjects. I have experience in math, science, language arts, and social studies for grades K - 8. I use a variety of learning strategies to encourage and motivate my students to learn. I am patient, kind, and understanding. I have a master’s in education and earned national board status twice. Since retiring from North Carolina public schools I call the beautiful mountains of West Virginia home, and I want to stay active in education. Tutoring is my opportunity to achieve this.
