Bio
Hi! My name is Jennifer Underwood. I am excited to introduce myself and get to know you. I love being a teacher and getting to work with students from all different backgrounds and cultures. I firmly believe that every student learns differently, and I try to meet each student where they are with their unique strengths and abilities. My expertise is in English/Language Arts courses and working with students with varying disabilities. I enjoy reading, and I try to implement a love for reading with my students. In my free time, when I am not reading, I also love sports. My favorites to watch are football and basketball.

I have been a teacher and a tutor for over 11 years. I have taught in the virtual environment for over 5 years, and I spent the previous 6 years in brick-and-mortar classrooms. The majority of my career has been working with co-taught and inclusion courses, primarily English/Language Arts. I have certifications in English, Special Education, and Educational Administration/Leadership. I have served grades 6-12 during my tenure as an educator.
