Bio
Hello students and families! I believe that every student can succeed with a creative and individualized approach, and I would love to work with you on achieving your educational goals. I plan to provide plenty of engaging content and feedback throughout the lesson to assist you in growing academically. I truly love school and learning, and I hope to encourage this in all of my students as well! This is best accomplished through a positive and meaningful relationship between tutors and students. I would thoroughly enjoy getting to know you and crafting personalized lessons that will not only exercise your brain, but will hopefully be a bit fun too! Outside of teaching, I enjoy being with my Yorkiepoo named Cinnamon and saving up for my next travel adventure! I have been to Amsterdam, Paris, and London, and can't wait to visit many other exciting places. Thank you for considering me as your tutor and I hope to work with you soon!
Teacher Specialization
I truly cannot get enough of school- I am a lifelong learner! I have a Master's Degree in Character Education (with Merit) and a Bachelor's Degree (Summa Cum Laude) with 4 teaching certifications. I am currently in my eighth year of classroom teaching and have taught first grade through fifth grade, including the subjects of math, science, reading, writing, social studies, and language. In addition, I am trained on the Science of Reading and have completed LETRS training with certificates of Mastery for all courses. I have worked with students with a wide variety of learning needs, including gifted learners and English-language learners. In addition, I have experience at the college level by working in my University's writing center as a tutor for essay writing, critical reading, and public speaking. This provides me with a unique mix of experiences and education across a wide variety of grade levels and subjects throughout elementary and middle school.
