Bio
I live in Guntersville, Alabama with my daughter, son-n-law, and three dachshunds. I'm becoming a tutor to continue supporting students' individual needs and helping them grow in confidence and academic success. Students learn best when instruction is personalized, engaging, and build confidence through clear, step-by step support. I use ongoing, informal assessment to guide instruction, celebrate progress, and adjust strategies so each student can succeed at their own pace. My tutoring goals are to strengthen academic skills while building confidence, independence, and a love of learning. I am committed to supporting each student's growth and academic excellence through personalized instruction, encouragement, and feedback, I prioritize building meaningful relationships with students by creating a supportive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. When students feel valued and safe, they are more engaged, confident, and open to learning.
Teacher Specialization
I hold a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and elementary education as well as master's degree in early childhood education. I taught Kindergarten for Marshall County Schools in North Alabama for 26 years. I currently teach for Legends Virtual Academy which is an online public Stide k12 school.
