Bio
Hello there! My name is Miss Kate and I am a college graduate with a bacelors in education and have 1 year of teaching experience. I taught and created a variety of inclusive lessons for 5th graders as a Learning Support Teacher. Most of my instruction included math and reading, with some support in science and social studies. I have also gained experience with Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 4th grade during my experiences in college at Millersville University. Furthermore, when I think about what makes up an amazing teacher I think of three qualities: positivity, adapdability, and leadership. Not only have I held these qualities in the past, but they will also benefit me as I take on the role as a K-12 Tutor. Additionally, I believe that having some academic fun here and there is a positive! I look forward to tutoring for many ages and subjects while having some fun while learning! Teacher Specialization
I am a certified teacher for general education ranging from Pre-K to 6th grade (all subjects) and for special education ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade (all subjects). I also have a STEM endorsement/add-on to my certificate. Another interesting opportunity I have had is working with Autism on the Seas. This is an international organization, that has been in collaboration with Royal Caribbean International since 2007 in developing cruise vacation services to accommodate adults and families living with children with Special Needs.
