Bio
Hello! My name is Katie and I am excited to work with you! I believe that every child has the ability to learn and succeed when provided with a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. My role as an educator and tutor is to nurture curiosity, build confidence, and meet students where they are academically, socially, and emotionally. I have extensive experience working with children of all abilities and exceptionalities. I believe that relationships are the heart of effective teaching. Creating a tutoring environment build on trust, respect, and high expectations allows students to feel safe taking risks and developing independence. I am passionate about helping each student build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Teacher Specialization
With over 20 years of experience in elementary education, I hold a Master's degree in Reading Education and specialize in supporting students in grades k-5. I have experience in all elementary grades and subjects, both online and in person, but my passion is reading and writing.
