Bio
Hello! My name is Kayla Lewis. I am a passionate educator, wife and mom to the sweetest little boy ever. Teaching is a calling and I love ever second of it. I am a firm believer of teaching and caring for the child as a whole. With years of teaching and refining my craft in Social Studies, I proudly love EVERY single part of it—from ancient civilizations and world cultures to geography, government, and history’s biggest “wait…what?!” moments. If it happened in the past, shapes our world today, or sparks a good debate, I’m all in! My classroom is a place where maps are exciting, timelines tell stories, and asking why is just as important as knowing what. I believe Social Studies isn’t just about memorizing facts—it’s about understanding people, ideas, and the world we share. History (in my humble opinion) is the best subject because it is always evolving and changing everyday.

I have been teaching for all 6years. I have taught all three grade levels in middle school and I am qualified to teach Social Studies/History for grades 6-12 in both Georgia and Washington D.C. I am very well versed in teaching/tutoring online due to finishing student teaching completely virtual and having hybrid(virtual/in-person) classes for the beginning of my career.
