Ready! Set! Learn! Let's get organized, set achievable goals, and make steady progress together! I would love to come alongside your learning journey. Together, we will build trust and create an environment where students feel safe and comfortable to ask and answer questions that deepen understanding. I encourage questioning during discussions to strengthen reasoning and problem-solving skills. I want students to have a stake in their own learning and learn to the point of teaching. I will meet your student where they are in their learning and work on steady gains and integrating literacy across any subject. So, if your student is said to be below grade level in a subject or if literacy is your focus, then allow me to be your K12 Tutor as we work together to make progress.
Teacher Specialization
I have been a teacher, tutor, and school librarian for 12 years between Georgia and Florida Public Schools. I have taught all subjects for students PreK to 5th grade with a focus on increasing literacy skills. Much of my teaching career has been as an Elementary Reading and Math Interventionist, helping students who are below grade level to make gains towards being on-grade level. I have also been a tutor for students in public and private schools, and homeschool, where I focused on kindergarten to middle school literacy skills and high school test preparation. I have worked as a co-teacher for students with varying disabilities, autism, ESL/ESOL students and parents (workshops), as well as taught students with ADD/ADHD.
