Bio
Hello, I'm Kerrin, a certified high school math teacher. My goal is to help students feel more confident and less intimidated by math by creating a supportive, patient learning environment. I encourage students to ask questions, think through problems, and build problem-solving skills they can carry into other subjects and real-world situations.
Teacher Specialization
I have taught a variety of high school mathematics courses as a classroom teacher, including: Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, and Calculus. I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in counselor education. I am licensed in Massachusetts to teach mathematics for grades 8 - 12, and hold a Sheltered English Immersion endorsement. I have experience working with diverse learners, including co-teaching with Special Educators and supporting English Language Learners. I also have experience providing small-group tutoring support and academic intervention through the federally funded Education Achievement and Access Bridge Program at Western Connecticut State University.
