Hello, my name is Kiana Stirman. I'm from Texas. My teaching philosophy is making learning meaningful by blending students' interests and learning goals with educationally rich lessons and activities. I strive to help my students achieve continual educational growth.
Teacher Specialization
I have a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, which has greatly prepared me to teach early education through 6th grade students across all subjects. Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of students, including gifted and talented students, ESL, ELL'S, new to the country, and students with autism, dyslexia, ADD & ADHD, students with IEPs and 504 plans, as well as those needing reading and math intervention support through RTI. I have over 10 years of experience teaching state-tested grades, consistently preparing students to meet and exceed state-mandated academic standards. In my tenure, I have been able to develop a deep understanding of the state-tested curricula, effective test prep techniques, and strategies to help students be successful.
