Bio
Hello, I'm Krista Rausin. My passion lies in igniting a love for learning in young students, particularly those in kindergarten through sixth grade. I believe that education should be engaging and interactive; therefore, I incorporate creative games and kinesthetic activities into my lessons to cater to diverse learning styles. My experience ranges from teaching foundational phonics to guiding students in narrative and expository writing. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel valued and eager to participate, fostering their curiosity and confidence. Thank you for considering me as your tutor.
Teacher Specialization
With over fifteen years of teaching experience, I specialize in helping elementary students grow in reading, writing, and social studies. My background includes classroom instruction in kindergarten, third and fourth grades, as well as middle and high school English, along with two years of online teaching experience. I hold a degree in Human Behavior and have authored several children’s books, which reflect my deep love for storytelling and learning. I believe that learning should be exciting, meaningful, and tailored to each child’s unique interests and needs. Whether it’s turning a reading lesson into a treasure hunt, using fascinating topics to inspire writing, or adding creativity to review games, I strive to make every session come alive. My lessons are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help every student feel successful. My ultimate goal is for students to finish each session smiling—and eager to learn more!
