Bio
Hi, I’m Ms. Whitehead, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed academically. My tutoring goal is to provide patient, encouraging support that helps students strengthen their skills and feel comfortable asking questions. I build positive relationships by creating a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to learn and celebrate their progress.
Teacher Specialization
I have close to ten years of experience in education working with students in grades K–8. My teaching experience includes Social Studies, English Language Arts, Reading, Writing, and supporting bilingual learners in diverse classroom settings. I have experience providing instruction in both traditional and virtual learning environments and have also served as a Library Media Specialist, helping students develop research, literacy, and technology skills. I have a Bachelor’s in Sociology and I am a Texas Certified Teacher in 4–8 Social Studies and English as well as EC–12 Special Education. My areas of specialization include differentiated instruction, Title I education, reading comprehension, writing support, study skills, supporting students with diverse learning needs, and building student confidence through individualized academic support.
