Welcome - My name is Mrs. Gaspardo, and I am an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching at all levels and often outside the traditional classroom setting. I believe all students can learn; it is just a question of unlocking how that student learns and tailoring the content to meet how he/she learns best. I look forward to helping you reach your learning goals by getting to know you better and creating engaging lessons/sessions that will lead to success for you in the areas where you need a boost.
Teacher Specialization
I have a BA -English/Sec Ed from Northeastern Illinois University and a MA in Environmental Studies. I've taught math and science enrichment to 4/5 year olds, MS English/Language Arts, Science, and Social studies; and High School English and Writing. I spent 20 years tutoring at Sylvan Learning where I taught reading, writing, math (up through pre-algebra), and ACT prep for the reading, English, and science sections in addition to SAT prep for the reading and writing portions of the test.
