Hello! My name is Miss Laura, and I can't wait to meet you! I believe all children are gifted in unique ways and are capable of learning when they are shown new information in creative ways! This is my specialty: helping to find ways to connect new information with something you already know! Learning doesn't have to be hard it can actually be quite fun and rewarding! I will get to know you and your interests and will find ways to make learning more engaging and relevant! My 18 years of teaching experience with kids of all ages in grades K-6 makes me a perfect fit for any elementary student! So what are you waiting for, let's get started learning together!
Teacher Specialization
I am an elementary teacher with 18 years in the classroom. My background is in Public Elementary: both in-person and virtual for grades K-6. I am very experienced and patient with students who struggle to learn new concepts. I also have experience working with special needs, ELL/ESL & gifted students. My bachelor's degree is from Anderson University, my master's degree is in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and I recently attended Math Recovery Training.
