Bio
Spanish has filled my life with immense opportunities for connection and community. However, I know that World Language learning can be very uncomfortable. My teaching is focused on detailed observation of where a student is stuck, coupled with simple practice examples and songs to illustrate a challenging concept. The best part of my job is seeing a student’s confidence grow as they make the transition from confusion to understanding. The great Spanish teachers in my life helped me overcome my own doubts and earn Advanced-High Oral Proficiency. I can't wait to see where you're at and help you take the next step forward!
Teacher Specialization
I hold a bachelor's degree in Spanish Teaching and I've spent four years as a licensed teacher in public school classrooms. Courses taught include Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 4, Spanish 5, Spanish for Native Speakers 1. Learner adaptations made in the classroom include ADHD/ADD, General Learning Disabilities, English Language Learners, and Gifted/Advanced Population. Before earning my teaching license, I worked as a virtual Teaching Assistant and Tutor for beginner & intermediate university Spanish courses for one year and earned a Level 1 certification for International Tutoring from the College Reading & Learning Association.
