Hello! My name is Leslie Jackson. I have been in education for 17 years. I served as a special education teacher, a 504 facilitator, an ELA teacher, and a school counselor. I specialize in working with students who have accommodations or those who find reading and writing a challenge! I was awarded the campus and district Teacher of the Year in 2015 for my ability to work with and help all students achieve to their best potential! I am here to patiently help you find your strengths, and I can help you improve in areas that can be frustrating or difficult! I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your journey to find success!
Teacher Specialization
I began my teaching career as a special education inclusion teacher in a large high school in the Pflugerville, Texas, area. I then became an English/ELA teacher and Practical Writing teacher. I loved working with students so much that I became a school counselor to support students academically AND socially/emotionally! I have now been with K12 Stride for two years! My specialty is helping students who struggle with reading and writing. I struggled with reading and writing when I was in school, so I feel that I am better equipped to help those who may find reading and writing difficult, as well! I look forward to meeting and working with you!
