Greetings! I am a compassionate educator whose career spans more than two decades. My dedication to literacy development, instructional leadership, and student empowerment guides my unwavering belief that all students can learn. I have devoted my career to unlocking the potential of learners from all backgrounds—particularly those in socioeconomically disadvantaged and at-risk populations. My teaching philosophy rests on the conviction that learning happens most deeply through doing: engaging students actively in the process of discovery, reflection, and problem-solving. This dedication to student success and fostering positive learning environments earned me the Teacher of the Year Award (2016-2017) at the school level and top three finalists at the district level.
Teacher Specialization
I am a certified educator with over 22 years of experience helping students build strong reading and writing skills. I am currently certified in the areas of English Language Arts and Social Studies with Reading and Gifted Endorsements. I’ve taught elementary through middle school levels with 19 years in brick and mortar and three years virtually. I hold a bachelor's degree in Speech Communications and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration. I specialize in literacy intervention. My goal is to make learning engaging and tailored to each student’s unique needs.
