Bio
With over a decade of experience teaching middle and high school students in Math, ELA, and Science, I am committed to making these subjects not only accessible but also truly meaningful for every student. My primary goal is to ensure that each student's unique needs, interests, and aspirations are not just acknowledged but fully embraced in the learning process. I firmly believe that education should be an engaging and transformative experience. That's why my teaching approach is designed to ignite curiosity and foster critical thinking skills. By actively involving students in their learning journey, I empower them to explore concepts deeply and develop a genuine understanding of the material. I am passionate about differentiating instruction to accommodate various learning styles, abilities, and strengths. I strive to help students discover their voices and build their confidence by creating an inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
Teacher Specialization
I taught English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) at Round Rock ISD from October 2019 to 2020 and joined Stride Inc (K12) in October 2020 as a Math and Science Teacher. I hold a PhD in Applied Sciences and am also a certified Structured Literacy and Dyslexia Specialist, with training in the Orton-Gillingham approach. Additionally, I am a certified teacher in the states of Texas and Missouri, holding a Classroom Teacher Standard Certificate in Math and Science, ELAR, and Special Education.
