Bio
Hello, I'm Ms Helena from California. I believe that all students learn differently and should be taught according to their individual learning styles. Through tutoring, my goal is to help students build their overall confidence in their abilities to complete assignments. I enjoy learning about the interests students have outside of school and often work to incorporate those interests into our lessons. I am also a voice actor, author, and avid reader. I speak French and jump headfirst at the chance to swim whenever I can. I choose to tutor because of my love of the learning process, which I hope to share with my students.
Teacher Specialization
I've taught and tutored primarily high school English Language Arts for 25 years, with 10 years in traditional classroom settings and 15 years virtually. My degrees include a Master of Education in Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in French.
