Bio

Whether a student needs to catch up, stay on pace, or move ahead, I am committed to supporting their success. My name is Makeila Tabb and it’s a joy to be part of your child’s educational journey! With over twelve years of experience tutoring in reading and mathematics, and as a certified K–8 educator with over 10 years of experience, I have worked extensively with students in kindergarten through fifth grade in both classroom and online settings. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a state teaching certificate, providing me with the skills to design structured, goal-oriented lessons that foster measurable academic growth. My approach combines proven instructional strategies with individualized support, ensuring that students not only strengthen their academic abilities but also develop the confidence to apply those skills independently. My objective is to create a positive, engaging learning environment in which every student can thrive and reach their potential.

In working with elementary students (K–5), I have achieved proven success in providing effective math and reading interventions tailored to meet diverse academic needs.
