Bio
Hello, my name is Maria Kruger. When teaching social studies, my goal is to empower students to think critically, communicate effectively, and become active, informed participants in their communities and the world. I am a new college graduate and have spent time teaching in both Minnesota and in Sweden through a study abroad program, helping me become a more global minded teacher.
Teacher Specialization
I am a licensed 5-12 Social Studies teacher from Minnesota with a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education. I have experience teaching both middle and high school students in various subjects including US History, US Government and Politics, and World Geography and Cultures. As a new college graduate, this is my first year in education. I was in high school and college during the years of virtual learning in the Covid-19 Pandemic so I have first hand knowledge of how to learn effectively online and I will translate this knowledge into my tutoring sessions.
