Bio

Matt brings over two decades of experience teaching and tutoring middle and high school social studies to students of all learning styles and ability levels. Whether working with struggling learners who need foundational support or advanced students chasing top scores, he meets every student where they are and builds from there. His educational philosophy stresses learning to think like a historian by questioning sources, weighing evidence, and understanding that history is written by people with diverse perspectives. The past and present are connected, and in sessions, we will constantly ask: why does this matter now? Matt meets the learner where they are at and helps them along their journey. Please come with goals in mind, either specific or general. In sessions, we will formulate a plan and focus on the skills to get you there!
