Bio
I believe students learn best through engaging, differentiated instruction that meets their unique needs and helps them explore concepts in meaningful ways. I provide timely, constructive feedback that builds confidence and encourages ownership of learning. My goal as a tutor is to strengthen academic skills while also developing critical thinking, creativity, and a genuine love for learning. I build positive relationships by creating a supportive and respectful environment where students feel safe to ask questions and take risks. My name is Ms. Ma. Vangeline, but you may call me Ms. Marva. I enjoy traveling, singing, cooking, and playing badminton, and I’ve had the opportunity to teach in both the Philippines and the United States. I became a tutor because I’m passionate about helping students succeed and creating an inclusive learning space where they feel valued and motivated to grow.
Teacher Specialization
I have 4 years of experience in education, with a strong background in both in-person teaching and virtual instruction. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education, Major in Business Technology. In the classroom, I taught Technology, Coding, Computer Science, Math, and Reading Intervention, working with students across elementary through high school levels. These experiences strengthened my ability to support diverse learners, integrate technology into instruction, and differentiate lessons to meet individual needs. I also have extensive virtual education experience, teaching Reading and Math in an online 1-on-1 setting. My focus includes foundational reading skills, comprehension, fluency, number sense, and problem-solving. My specialization lies in creating engaging, student-centered lessons, using data to guide instruction, and adapting effectively across multiple learning environments.
