Bio

Hi! I am so glad you have found my page to learn a little bit about me. My name is Melanie Quinn and my passion is to help students not only grow in their learning but to love it as well. I believe that every student should learn the phrase " I can't do it...YET!" because it is my aspiration to provide students with the tools they already have from within themselves and use it in their academic journey. My philosophy about education is that there is no one size fits all approach and there is a "blueprint" for each child's unique path to success. My tutoring sessions involve interactive and engaging lessons to show students that learning can be fun! I look forward to tutoring your child and fostering a positive relationship with you all! I love to always keep learning to be able to best help my students!

Teacher Specialization

I have over 10 years of experience as an educator. I have my Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Reading and I am also endorsed in English as a Second Language. I taught 7 years at the elementary level, 3 years as a Reading Specialist/interventionist and currently, as the Multilingual Learner Program Specialist at my school. Prior to teaching as a classroom teacher, I worked as a substitute teacher in elementary and middle schools. I have also tutored in a variety of settings.
