Bio
I believe students learn best when instruction is clear, well-structured, and connected to real-life applications. I use differentiated, step-by-step support and provide consistent, meaningful feedback to help students build confidence, learn from their mistakes, and grow into independent problem-solvers. My goal is to strengthen students’ mathematical understanding, improve their academic performance, and develop strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom. I am committed to supporting each learner’s growth by creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking academic risks. I build positive, respectful relationships with my students, value their individual strengths, and provide personalized support and encouragement to help them succeed.
Teacher Specialization
I am a Mathematics and Special Education teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience supporting students in both general education and special education settings. I have experience teaching Calculus, Quantitative Modeling, Algebra, Geometry, and Financial Literacy at the high school level, and I support students in grades 6–12. I hold a Master of Science in Applied Economics from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ghana. I specialize in helping students develop strong mathematical understanding through step-by-step instruction, real-world applications, and data-driven strategies. I have experience working with students with IEPs, learning gaps, and diverse learning needs, providing differentiated instruction, targeted intervention, and confidence-building support. I also support students with test preparation (SAT/GRE Quantitative), homework help, and skill remediation.
