Bio
Hello! My name is Michelle Shelburne, and I have lots of favorites—like sipping hot tea or coffee, enjoying frozen yogurt, eating sushi, and traveling with my family in our fifth wheel trailer. When I was in elementary school, I had a tutor who made learning fun and engaging, helping me succeed on my tests. I want to create that same positive, encouraging experience for you, so you can learn, grow, and feel confident. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and can connect lessons to their own lives. I give feedback that’s clear, constructive, and uplifting—celebrating successes while guiding through challenges. My goal is to help students master academics while nurturing critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning.
Teacher Specialization
I have a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I have 12 years of experience teaching in elementary school. I have enjoyed teaching all subjects from Pre-K through 2nd Grade and also 3rd-grade Math.
