Bio

Hi there! My name is Niza and I come from a family of educators- teaching is in my blood! I love learning and teaching so that I may help others be able to change their own worlds just like my own education helped me supersede my family's cycle of poverty. I have an undergraduate degree in music and biology from the University of Houston, a master's in biosciences from Rice University, and am currently attending medical school in Texas. Previous to starting medical school, I was a full time math and science teacher at the elementary, middle, and high school levels (where I specialized in physics) for 5 years in Texas public schools. Individually, I also have years of experience tutoring 3rd through 12th grade students in math, science, college test prep, and music topics. When I am not teaching (or studying) you can find me running marathons, traveling, gaming on my PC, or trying new recipes.
