Bio

Hi, my name is Rebecca Anderson and I am a licensed Utah educator currently living in Pennsylvania. I recently moved from Utah where my four grown children and their families live. I love helping students to achieve their academic goals. Seeing a student create strengths from perceived weaknesses is something I truly enjoy. I believe every student has the ability to grow and improve themselves no matter the circumstances. Throughout my teaching career I have worked with students with a variety of learning issues including Autism. It's a beautiful thing to see a student overcome an educational challenge and realize that they can be a successful learner. Teacher Specialization

I spent one year as an Americorp Volunteer tutoring students in reading. I have tutored ELL students and small group reading and math for 5th grade. As a teacher, I have taught 6th grade for two years, all subjects, and 5th grade, ELA, history, reading and two years of 5th grade math. During the COVID epidemic, I facilitated online learning through the school district for 5th grade students. In addition, I completed the ELL and Tier 1 reading and writing programs.
