Bio
Hello! I am a virtual Kindergarten Teacher with Stride K12 in Michigan, mom to a 10 year old daughter, and pet parent to a whole lot of critters! We currently have: 1 dog, 2 cats, 2 snakes, 1 crested gecko, 1 hamster, 2 parakeets, and 17 chickens! I love hiking, camping, crafts, painting, sketching, art museums, and spending time with both my daughter and all our wonderful pets. I have taught summer school in a tutoring format the past two summers and am excited to tutor year round for a company where I now teach Kindergarten. My goal is to help our young students learn how to love learning so they can be successful throughout their education journey!
Teacher Specialization
I've been working in formal education for 8 years. This is my 2nd year teaching Kindergarten with Stride K12 in Michigan. Prior to that, I taught part time as a substitute teacher at both the preschool level (3 years) and Elementary level (3 years, grades K-5). I have also worked with youth in various non-profit youth development settings for over 20 years, so experiential education techniques feel like second nature to me. I am excited to share my joy of learning with your family!
