Bio
Hi! My name is Ms. Weir and I can't wait to be on your learning journey! I believe that every student can learn, grow, and achieve at high levels and I am here to help you get there! During our sessions, I will model new concepts, work alongside you to build skills, and coach you as you gain confidence to work independently! Together, we will discover tools and strategies that work best for you. We won't just learn "how" to do something-we'll also learn "why" it works. My goal is to help you become a confident, independent learner who understands what you’re learning and why it matters. Teaching is one of the great joys in my life, and I am excited to support you in reaching your learning goals!
Teacher Specialization
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and am a certified teacher in both Texas and Oklahoma. In Texas, I am certified in EC–6 with an English as a Second Language (ESL) supplemental certification. I also hold the Master Teacher designation in Texas and have 8 years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher, one of which was virtual. I have taught both first and second grade reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I am equipped to tutor K-5 learners in math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. I’m excited to bring my experience, passion for teaching, and love of learning to K12 Tutoring!
