Bio
Hello! I'm a California-credentialed English teacher who is passionate about helping students become confident readers, writers, and critical thinkers. I believe every student learns best when instruction is tailored to their individual strengths and goals, and I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing as learners. My goal is to help students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed independently through patient guidance, personalized instruction, and meaningful feedback.
Teacher Specialization
I have four years of experience teaching high school English in California. I have taught college preparatory English, AP English Literature, dual enrollment composition, and the California Expository Reading and Writing Curriculum (ERWC), working with students in grades 9–12. I also have experience providing virtual instruction through online learning platforms. I hold master's degrees in Secondary Education and Journalism and am credentialed to teach English in grades 7–12 in California. My areas of specialization include reading comprehension, literary analysis, academic and argumentative writing, grammar, vocabulary development, research skills, and study strategies. I personalize each tutoring session to help students meet their individual academic goals.
