Bio
Welcome all! I am an educator, mother of a little baby boy and avid gamer. I started my career teaching students in El Salvador, and continued my career as a math teacher and Librarian in Hampton Roads, Virginia. My lessons always center around the needs of the student and prioritize active student participation. I work to engage my student so they are actively learning and engaging with the material. Their engagement with the lesson will help both the student and I know if they are grasping the concept, or if they need further practice. My goal for tutoring is to continue sharing my excitement for learning with students from all backgrounds. My students will feel supported throughout the lessons by remaining the center of my focus. I will work with the student to accomplish their goals and ensure the student is comfortable with the learning material.
Teacher Specialization
I began my career in San Salvador, El Salvador, teaching 4th and 6th grade students Language Arts for a year and 5th grade for 3 years. I moved back to the United States after that and taught 6th grade math for 3 years. I went to Longwood University and got my masters in School Librarianship and was a School Librarian for 2 years.
