Bio
Hi! I'm Sarah. I love spending time in nature, especially hiking and camping! I speak Spanish conversationally and have taught English. I love teaching, especially forming unique connections with my students. I want to get to know you and make learning fun! I love learning, and I believe that everyone has unique abilities that make them smart. It is my job as a teacher to help you harness those abilities, and unlock your love of learning. I believe in you and know that you can do it! Building relationships with my students is a key part of being a great teacher, and I love to get to know my students. I am passionate about helping students think critically by finding text evidence. I believe social emotional skills are important, which is another reason I like to build relationships with my students. When we have those relationships, students can thrive and feel comfortable to reach their full potential.
Teacher Specialization
I have my Master's Degree in Education and Human Development from UC Denver, and my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UNC Asheville. I have been teaching PK-5th grade for thirteen years. I love teaching online, because we can use technology to connect with kids and help them reach their potential. I have a lot of experience with diverse learners, and can customize learning well for each student's unique abilities. I also specialize in students learning English.
