Bio
Hello! I'm Mrs. Garcia, and I so excited to meet you! One thing I have learned throughout my years of teaching is that no two children learn exactly the same way. I truly believe every child can learn and be successful when given the right tools, encouragement, and support. I love making learning fun, engaging, and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again. Seeing that moment when something finally "clicks" for a student is still one of my favorite parts of teaching! My goal as your tutor is to get to know your child, discovering the strategies that work best for them, and help build both their skills and confidence. Most importantly, I want my students to develop a LOVE for learning, explore new ways of thinking, and feel proud of what they can accomplish. I look forward to learning together!
Teacher Specialization
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education K-6 and am ESOL endorsed and Gifted certified. I also have experience with virtual education, having taught students online during COVID, which helped me develop engaging and effective ways to support students in a virtual learning environment. I have specialize in elementary education for 21 years teaching reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. I have workded with students of varying academic abilities, including general education, ELL, and gifted students. My strengths include identifying individual learning needs, differentiating instruction, strengthening foundational skills, and helping students build confidence and independence.
