Hi there! I’m Shams Syed, a Texas-certified math teacher with over a decade of experience working with students from all backgrounds—from those who need extra support to those in advanced or gifted programs. I truly believe that every child can succeed in math with the right approach and encouragement. I’m certified in elementary through middle school math, and I also have training in reading strategies and English as a Second Language. This allows me to bring a well-rounded, personalized touch to every session. My goal is simple: to make math feel less intimidating and a lot more approachable. I design lessons around each student’s unique needs, grounded in state standards and proven strategies that work. Whether your child is catching up or ready for a challenge, I’m here to support their journey—helping them grow in skill, confidence, and mindset. I look forward to working with your family!
