Bio

Hi! I’m Dr. Sherri Rochel, an educator, curriculum designer, and student success advocate with over a decade of experience helping learners build confidence, mastery, and joy in learning. I hold a Doctorate in Curriculum & Teaching and have taught and tutored students from early elementary through college across math, reading, writing, financial literacy, and test prep. My teaching philosophy is simple: meet every learner exactly where they are, build trust through encouragement and clarity, and guide them toward thriving—academically and personally. I’m known for bringing calm structure, high-quality instruction, and a warm, approachable personality to every session. Families appreciate my ability to explain tough concepts clearly, support neurodiverse learners, and create individualized learning paths that get results. I believe every child deserves to feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress—and I love being part of that journey.

Teacher Specialization

I hold an EdD in Curriculum and Teaching, a Master’s in Accounting, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, giving me a strong foundation in instruction, analysis, and real-world application. I specialize in supporting students in K–12 math, reading intervention, writing, study skills, and test preparation, with 11+ years of experience in tutoring, online teaching, and curriculum design. I regularly work with learners who have dyslexia, ADHD, and sensory processing needs. My approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations that build true understanding—not memorization. I use structured routines, evidence-based strategies, and real-world connections to make learning meaningful and engaging. Whether a student needs enrichment, remediation, executive-function support, or targeted test prep, I create customized lessons that help them grow quickly and gain confidence. My goal is simple: to help every learner feel seen, supported, and thriving!
