Bio
My name is Velinda Bolisay, a retired Chemistry professor from the Philippines and now a retired Chemistry Teacher from Daly City. I believe that students should gain confidence by undergoing the discipline for each and every subject in their K to 12 experience. When guided properly, they will gain the grit, resilience and academic rigor so they can face any challenge the world has to offer. My goal is to support the student's need to understand and comprehend the concepts, problem solving, and application of Chemistry into the real world. Students can ask me questions, clarification until they become happy and satisfied after each session.
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching Chemistry for 34 years. 27 years in the undergrad and 7 years in High School. I had experience in virtual education during the pandemic. That was tough but we managed to support the needs of about 30 students per class. I taught grade 10-11 students conversion of units, atomic structure, mole concept, balancing equations, stoichiometry and more. I am a BS Chemistry graduate with 33 Chemistry units of graduate studies. I am also a graduate of MA in Education major in Special Education
