Bio
I'm Ms. Hawkins I believe everyone can learn anything they want but we don't all learn in the same away if something is hard it maybe because you lack the prior knowledge or have stored that knowledge differently. Sometimes we need to get creative and think outside the box to make the right connections to increase understanding and retention. I will help you make the connections and will not give up until we find what works for you. We are all unique tutoring is not about one size fits all it's about finding what is right for you. Though not everything is fun to learn I do work hard to make it as painless as possible. Most of my years have been spend working with middle schoolers but I have worked with high school students and welcome the challenges that would entail. I am certified in all four Middle Grades subjects. I am also certified in 6-12 Science and 5 areas of Social Studies. I have Consultative and Cognitive Special Education certificates.
Teacher Specialization
Over the years I have taught in two states and mostly in 6-8. I worked in a variety of schools over 18 years. I hold Georgia T-5 in Middle Grades subjects Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Science, and High School subjects Science, Economics, Behavioral Science, Political Science, Geography, and History. I also have Special Ed certification P - 8 in Cognitive Level Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Science and Consultative P - 12 General Curriculum.
