Bio
My name is Yvette Warren. I'm a mother of two daughters and one adopted son. My philosophy of education is that all children have the ability to learn. Each person has their own unique ability, and it is my job as a teacher to find out their learning styles and help them thrive in their element. My goal in tutoring is to meet the students where they are, challenge them to pursue their goals, assist them, motivate and encourage them to achieve success. I build relationships with my students by accepting them for who they are and guiding them along their educational journey. My goal is to boost self-confidence and trust in a nurturing platform. I've tutored at Sylvan Learning center, the Millenium Project, and during Covid I taught my pre-k class over Zoom sessions. I've worked as a substitute teacher at the public and private schools, teaching all subject areas reading, math, science, Abeka phonics, and worked as a preschool teacher for over 21 years. I'm so happy to meet you!

My area of expertise is Pre-k thru 4th grade. I have a Bachelor of science in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, and a master's degree in education and Instructional technology.
