Bio
Hi! I'm Mrs. Rybak! I am a fourth grade teacher in Upstate New York. My approach to teaching is rooted in patience, encouragement and connection- because I feel students thrive when they feel understood and supported. I focus on creating engaging, goal-oriented lessons that meet students where they are and help them grow. No matter what we're learning, my goal is to always make learning meaningful and enjoyable. Outside of the classroom, I spend my time with my family. I have a five year old son and a boxer pup named Laila.
Teacher Specialization
With over twelve years of teaching experience, I've worked with students of all learning styles, helping them build confidence, curiosity and a genuine love for learning. I am certified in Early Childhood (Birth- Grade 2) and Elementary Education (Grade 1-6), as well as Literacy Education (Birth- Grade 6). I had the opportunity to be a reading teacher early on in my career in a short term position. I've also had the chance to teach every grade level (K-4) before I landed in my favorite position, fourth grade! I have six years of experience in fourth grade. The last two of those years, I had the opportunity to co-teach with the ENL program. At the beginning of my career, I thought reading was my passion, but I've certainly grown to love math!
