Hi! I’m Amanda Purifoy, a certified special education teacher and school counselor with 18 years of experience in Texas and international schools in China, the UAE, and Taiwan. I have worked with students of all abilities, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and other learning differences, helping them build confidence and achieve academic success. As a parent of four children at Lone Star Online Academy (LSOA), I understand the importance of personalized learning. My experience in both special education and counseling allows me to create individualized strategies that support not only academic growth but also social-emotional development. Additionally, I offer support to craft compelling college essays, drawing from my experience in undergraduate admissions.
