Bio
Every child can succeed—they just need the right support. That belief has guided me throughout my 20 years as a certified Special Education teacher in Texas and international schools. I've worked with students of all abilities, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and other learning differences, helping them build confidence, strengthen their skills, and reach their goals. As both an educator and the parent of four children attending Stride schools, I understand that every learner is unique. I create personalized lessons that meet students where they are, encourage growth, and make learning engaging and rewarding. My goal is to help students gain not only academic skills but also the confidence to become independent, successful learners. I look forward to partnering with your family and celebrating every step of your child's progress.
Teacher Specialization
I specialize in foundational literacy instruction with a focus on phonics, phonemic awareness, reading fluency, and early reading development. I have an excellent track record helping young learners build the skills and confidence they need to become successful readers. Through targeted, research-based instruction and individualized lessons, I help students strengthen decoding skills, word recognition, reading comprehension, and writing fluency. My approach is designed to meet students at their current level and provide the structured support they need to make meaningful progress. In addition to elementary literacy instruction, I also provide expert college essay support, drawing from my experience in undergraduate admissions to help students develop clear, authentic, and compelling application essays.
