Bio

Hi! My name is Amy, and I live in Pennsylvania. I believe students learn best in a fun, supportive environment, so I work with students where they are, and guide them to understand the material using clear explanations and a lot of practice, so they can get immediate feedback and correct any misconceptions. I want students to have fun and learn to think critically. I will work to help them reach their goals and grow in their knowledge and understanding of the concepts we are working on. My classroom is always a safe, supportive place for everyone. Mistakes are how we learn, so I encourage my students to try their best, ask questions, and we will work together to make sure they understand the material. I love math and will do whatever it takes to help my students succeed! When I'm not teaching, I am spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy reading, playing card games and board games, and traveling. I hope to visit Japan one day!

Teacher Specialization

I have a bachelor's degree in middle level education with a math specialization and teaching licenses for K-12 math. I have taught math for seven years, with the majority of those years spent in the online classroom. I have taught students from 4th grade to high school and I look forward to helping your student(s) also!
