Hello. I am Amy Irwin. I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated educator who wants all children to be successful learners. I firmly believe all students have their own style of learning and as an educator I try to incorporate as many learning opportunities into my lessons as possible. My goal in tutoring is to help all students reach their potential. I try to make learning fun as well as relevant.
Teacher Specialization
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University and hold certifications in Generalist 4-8 and ESL 4-8. I have experience in teaching all 4 core classes: Math, Science, Reading, and Social Studies for Middle School. I taught for 6 years at Ranger ISD. While there I taught 5-8th grade Math, Science, and Computer Science. I taught sixth grade English Language Arts at Dublin ISD. I currently just finished teaching 8th Grade History at TVA Hallsville.
