Bio
Hello and welcome to Stride Tutoring! I’m very excited to meet you and for us to begin learning together! My number one goal is to make learning fun and engaging for all students. I love to incorporate students’ interests, music, and games into lessons and activities. I strive to make connections with students and find common interests to enhance trust and promote student engagement. I enjoy developing creative ways to teach different concepts and try to include authentic activities to connect the subject material to real world applications. I believe that technology is a powerful tool for learning and often utilize a variety of online programs into my lessons. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, reading, cooking/baking, crafts, and spending time with my family.
Teacher Specialization
I have 11 years of experience teaching full time in the elementary school classroom. I have taught grades K-5 in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia and am familiar with the standards for each state. I also have 4 years of experience teaching in a preschool classroom with one of those years being fully virtual. I have a master’s degree in Elementary Education/Instructional Technology.
