Bio
Hello there ! I am excited to begin this learning journey together with you. I'm a wife and mom of 3 kiddos all under 10 yrs of age. They keep me spontaneous and full of adventures in and out of the house all day. I love to create games, use cool websites and fun resources to keep my students engaged and practicing with purpose! My philosophy or my 'motto' is the infamous saying "practice makes perfect". And I believe in that whole heartedly because as a team we can get to our learning goals better together by working on things regularly and consistently. I believe differentiation is key, adapting to student's current needs, being flexible, and evaluating students in a manner that better showcases their actual abilities -data and performance work hand in hand. I came into teaching through my love of English and a passion to not only share that but to also help support others. This fueled my interest into becoming a tutor for more of that dynamic with different learners.
Teacher Specialization
I have 9 years of teaching experience with regular and honor students in the subject of English/language arts in high school as well those in special education with learning disabilities. For the last 4 years, I worked specifically with those who have intellectual disabilities and those who are on the autistic spectrum in Math for middle and high school learners. I have a BA in English from Florida International University and currently certified in special education and elementary k-6.
