Bio

Hello! My name is Mrs. Chandler, I am fully bilingual and enjoy supporting students and families with their language needs. I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, reading, and looking for teaching strategies and activities. I became a tutor because I enjoy helping students unlock their potential and giving them the extra support, they need to be successful in their classes. I believe in the power of YET and cultivating a growth mindset. When providing feedback to students, I want help them target concepts to continue working to strengthen their skills. My goal as a tutor is to help students with their specific skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and taking creative approaches. Student achievement and academic excellence are my ultimate goals.

Teacher Specialization

My experience is working as a certified bilingual elementary school teacher for seven years. I have worked in both brick-and-mortar and online here with Stride. I have taught the lower elementary grades, as well as the STAAR-tested grades all core subjects, reading, math, social studies, and science. My experience and background include teaching in whole groups, small groups, and one on one. I have helped my students set goals for themselves and work to achieve them.
