Bio

My name is Ashlynn and I am a teacher who loves anything Disney! If I am not watching Disney movies, I'm with my family outside exploring, gardening, or in the kitchen baking. I am a teacher who believes that all students can learn, no matter their disability or level of English. Working for years with students that are ELL, ESE, and migrant has taught me that differentiation to learning is key. As a teacher, I use the most current and effective strategies to differentiate my lessons and provide the support a child needs. I believe is open communication with all stakeholders. I also provide frequent feedback about the growth of the child, as well as additional resources the family or child can use to continue their learning outside of our tutoring session.

Teacher Specialization

I have a B.A. in Elementary Education K-6. In addition, I have a Reading K-12 Endorsement and a English for Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement added to my teaching certificate. I have taught 13 years in elementary classrooms (1 year in 3rd grade, 9 years in 4th grade, and 3 years in 5th grade). I have 2 years of experience tutoring students in grades 2nd - 5th grade.
